The Rebrand

This blog will be phased out soon.

I posted on Bluesky on December 30th that my personal goal for 2025 was to fully remove Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp), Google (Gmail, YouTube, Blogger, etc), and Amazon from my life by the end of the year. Still figuring out where to set up shop. In the meantime, i've started a Linktree so people can find whatever services i'm migrating to, as i still don't know where i'm setting up shop. Maybe Substack? I don't know.

I did put the link to this blog on the Linktree. I thought about changing the URL to riotleviathan instead of the obsolete drducks, to match everything else that i've updated in the last year. But really, what's the point? It's going away anyway, why break all the old links that might still be floating around out there? And if i'm not writing anything new in this blog, these are really Dr. Ducks's thoughts, not Riot Leviathan's, anyway.

Anyway. If anyone is actually finding this blog through the Linktree, please keep in mind that i was 23 when i started it in 2008. I sincerely doubt that anyone will read through everything i've written here, but if you do find yourself clicking back to anything older than, let's say, seven-ish years, just keep in mind that i was a very different person back then and i don't stand by much of what was written back then. I removed one entry entirely but i'm not going to go through 17 years worth of material to remove everything i find objectionable at this point.

Actually, i don't stand by that Star Wars one from 2020 anymore, either. Plus there's some more recent stuff in here i wrote while i was high, so, uh. Umm.

Really, the only thing here that i want to call any attention to is the Long Beach Marathon 2022 blog. I still think that one's pretty good. All of my other blogs (travel blogs The 39,000 Steps and Kiwiland, Ho!, the Amanda's Cancer Journey archive, my mixtape blog Trevor's Poor-Ass Christmas, and anything salvageable from the various one-off goof accounts i've created here over the years) will be moving as well.

Anyway. See you on a slightly-less-evil platform sometime in the future.
